Good luck today Lizzie! I hope it goes alright for you.

Good luck Daph too! I hope your interview goes OK.. I know they'll like you!

If you do come over to London, we'll all have to come and meet up with you won't we? That would be very cool...

It's a very very wet miserable day here today.. rain rain rain.. the cats are very restless as they can't go out.. and Homer is like a spoiled toddler.. keeping being naughty and crying that he can't go outside.. and can I turn the rain off ? But I got a huge box of toys out for them.. and that seems to be keeping them happy at the moment...

Hope everyone has a good day.. :luv

Good luck with the interview, Daph.

My day was quite close to the sort of days I had before I stayed home with my depression. That specific colleague is already annoying me all over again, my boss has a face that matches a thunder cloud and against my expectations, I haven't been called in with my bosses for a conversation about the situation.
Though because of future people leaving (at least three!!), there's a slight chance they'll -have- to assign me to one of the departements I'd like to go to. However, what's most likely is usually the one thing they -don't- do. Makes sense, eh?

Oh well, we've got Tuesday off for remembrance day so that's one day less already and hopefully a solution will come forth in the second part of the week.

Row, if it makes you feel any better, it's been quite a rainy, gray and even stormy day here. They're expecting some serious winds in the middle of the night though so I'm just hoping our roof stays on. :loly

Hello Vanessa! How are you? :grin

Half way through the week..

Ollie has a 'Tudor Day' at school tomorrow.. only seems last week he had the Roman Day doesn't it? I have to dress him as a tudor tomorrow... great.. super... I shall take a couple of photos if I can remember before School tomorrow.. Although the costume this time is MUCH simpler... last time if you recall I had to MAKE a roman soldiers outfit... This time it's just a waistcoat and trousers tucked into socks..

We had the dentist today, fortunately neither Ollie or I needed anything done... so another six months before we have to go back. But I have to say the waiting room was like the third world! Huge numbers of people waiting, two dentists and nowhere to sit! National Health hey? Still at least I HAVE a National Health dentist...

Hi all!

Well, my said interview was not very nice, but then I had another offer in another place, where the people were really nice and liked my CV (my CV looks impressive, but I am an absolute beginner in the current thingie, and very anxious :panic ).

So, I got three morning working with special needs young kids in art therapy. Damn... now I have to really go and do it, LOL.

thanks for encouraging me... Goodluck to you all too :luck

:luck Daphna.

I've had a trying weekend. I'm not sure if I've mentioned that Finley has allergies to certain red food colourings. They bring him up in hives and he gets violently ill. Well, we found out this weekend that he's also allergic to yellow food colouring and yes, we found out the hard way. Who would have thought that a tiny bit of mustard in a recipe could cause such an extreme reaction. Obviously, it was the yellow colouring that caused the reaction, but the poor kid was covered in hives and then his hands, feet, face, eyes and lips all swelled up. He's on a course of antihistamines and the swelling and hives are going down, but it wasn't a particularly happy experience for him or me.

Yes, this is what I'm afraid of. :::sigh:::

The thing is that he's still so young that we're trying new food and recipes all the time. We've never had a problem with yellow colouring before. I'm guessing it was one of those awful E numbers thingys that caused the problem.

He's back to his normal chirpy self this morning. Thank goodness.

Oh how scary! I do hope he is feeling better now.

Good luck Daph with the new job! :grin

I'm still slogging away at my job.. although fingers crossed it does seem to be getting a wee bit quieter on the run up to Christmas.. Which I am also worried about.. we have EVERYONE coming this year! That means trying to fit 10 round my small dining room table! :doh Ah well we'll manage I'm sure.. somehow!

I hope everyone is having a nice Tuesday. :wave

Oh dear poor Finlay, I'm glad he's better now :five

10, that's a lot of people Row and a lot of cooking! Perhaps you could do a buffet style Christmas dinenr instead, then you wouldn't have to cram everyone round the table at once?
SD and I are spending Christmas Day on our own, just the two of us, and then visiting relatives either side, that means I can spend all of Christmas Day in my pyjamas if I want :lol

That sounds very nice Lise.. I'm sure I will be woken at 3am with a very excited Oliver, who is already so excited about Christmas and it's 5 weeks off.. OMG only five weeks! I have done nothing yet! :panic

A buffet style Christmas dinner.. now there's an idea! Thanks for that, I shall run it past Andy and see what he thinks... :thanks

OMG it's sooo cold out there this morning.
Jack Frost certainly left his mark in the night. It's definitely a day for staying snuggled up on the sofa under the duvet :bed

It snowed here last night.. but by the time we got up (lateish) it had all melted and it was pouring with rain.. the kind of 'plagues of Egypt rain' that you get in the winter.. and it was freezing! I went to Sainsburys - deep joy - but when I came out, the sun was shining and it was warm!? I did wonder just how long I had spent IN Sainsburys.. But it seems only an hour... rather than the 6 months I was imagining.. Now it's all clouded over again, and about to pour again.. I guess it's a different season for every hour here today...

Stay warm guys... alternatively get out your bikini... possibly both... :dunno

We had a little bit of sludge here this morning, most of it melted and the heavy downpour cleared the remains. The sun came out, there were blue skies and then we had another downpour. It very cloudy again now.

I have a busy week, this week. The kids' school is taking part in http://www.bigsing.com and Lois has her first acting class performance on Saturday. She's really looking forward to it and doesn't seem to be nervous at all yet. We'll be rehearsing lines, songs and dance routines all week.

Hope everyone is managing to stay warm today.
