Picnic?

Where old threads go to die

I'm bringing one child, but you you like I can borrow more for the day! LOL.. :D

Actually I shall bring Ollies sarnies for him. he only eats chocolate spread, there's absolutely no point in making anything else for him.

Shall I bring drinks then? and a selection of crisps/dips etc?

I've never been to Richmond Park. Any suggestions of the best way to get there? I shall look at Sue's Map in a moment, but any directions/suggestions for dummies would be appreciated. :D

Do we have to walk far when we get there? I can bring a couple of folding chairs, but don't want to have to carry them for miles?

:bunny :bunny gonna be fun! :D

I'll bring sandwiches for Lois and Finley, Lois is fussy - she doesn't like butter in her sandwiches.

Pen Ponds sounds good. The only thing I would mention is that the Robin Hood gate has been closed to cars for a few years.

Thanks Ann, I didn't know that! Shows how long since I've been there!
Up the A3 is the best way I think Row heading for Roehampton.

Mum's in Guildford Hospital which isn't too bad but still a bit of a haul.

Can I ask a silly question? Where is Pen Ponds on that map? I can't see it anywhere and I've been looking! Maybe I need stronger glasses?

Edit OK I found it.. where do you park? And if Robin Hill Gate is closed to cars, whats the best way to get into the park?

Any suggestions for dummies?

Well I guess if you follow the signs for Pen Ponds and then park in the nearest car park to the pond then you can't go wrong (famous last words!)

I have a feeling it's going to be hot tomorrow and everybody will be there so if there's a problem parking let's all have our mobiles!
I'm very disorganised at the mo but will hit the deli tomorrow before work but if someone has a plate and a drink I would be grateful!!

Hi girls! Sorry to be such a wet blanket but I didn't fancy the long drive and then being away from loos!! I think I'm OK now probably just the canneloni I had last night!
Looks like fun and wasn't that deer up close?! They used to run a mile from people when I was a kid!
Glad you had good weather.
I shall post your prezzie Ann and Row maybe I can drop by this week after I've visited Mum in Guildford and collect the bag.
I didn't visit today but my brother did. He last saw her on Tuesday and thought she'd gone downhill a lot. She had a fainting turn in the loo yesterday and was put on a drip again but today apparently she was back in a single isolation room and was rambling a bit which doesn't sound good. Yesterday she was weak but OK to chat with. I shall go tomorrow and see how she is.

Thanks girls and kids for a lovely afternoon. I'll post my pixs in a bit. Yours are great Ann! :D Oliver said to me on the drive home that it was the BEST day ever! :D So I think he enjoyed it! :lol :teeth

Sue I am glad you're feeling better, and I DID remember the bag! LOL.. Ah well, if you give me a call after lunch some day this week, I can make sure I'm in for you to collect it.

I do hope your mum is feeling better today. :hugs
