I thought Merlin was very entertaining, the cast, script, special effects, costumes and scenery were all excellent.

I liked it, but then I'm biased as far as ASH is concerned.

I liked it too... but did think the main character 'the merlin' a wee bit wooden.. or was it just me? I guess I was just expecting something more 'grown up'. However I guess it's on prime time Saturday night TV, with Kids watching, so they can't go too over the top can they?
I did think the crown was very nice too!

I'm thinking the only reason I'll be watching is because of ASH. I wasn't too impressed with the guy playing Merlin and they seem to have rewritten an awful lot of the story. But as I said before, I'm biased where ASH is concerned so I'll watch all 13 eps.

There's an interview around somewhere, I'll have to find the link, where the guy who plays Merlin said that Richard Wilson's mobile phone went off on set and someone said, "I don't believe it."
