There aren't many rules.. you can think of them more as guidelines.. but there are SOME that must be obeyed.. these are they.
1. Please be nice... to each other and to yourselves!
2. PLEASE do not hot link. If I find a photo that is hotlinked I or my mods will remove it. (please ask if you need more information on what this is). Also Watermarked images.. eg anything with a WORD over the picture.. please do NOT post it.. A link to it is fine.. but don't post the photo here..
3. Language and Under 18's This is a board that covers a wide range of ages and obsessions, we do not have a filter on this board, and as such we would ask you to please use language and content that is suitable to a family orientated board..
4. Personal Nish.. we all have it.. our own special someones who we adore, worship, drool over etc. Our rule is.. respect everyones choice, regardless of what you may personally feel on the subject. (basically and to quote your mothers.. "if you can't say something nice... then don't say anything at all"
)
5. Pirates of the Caribbean after much conferring with my board members, we have decided that it is now compulsary to watch it.. (obviously this is MUCH more of a GUIDELINE.. than the others..
)
AVATARS
The size of all Avatars should be NO Larger than 150 x 150 pixels... If your avatar is too big, you will be contacted by a moderator and asked to either re-size or remove it. The reason for this, is any avatars over 150 pixels wide PUSH all the posts over to the right hand side. This makes it hard for people with small screen resolutions. If you need your avatar re-sizing, ask any of the moderators on this board, or myself.
SIGNATURE LINES
Please can you ensure that your signature lines don't get TOO big.. By too big, I am thinking two siggies is OK.. But we have people here on dial-up and if it takes them three hours to download one thread, they are going to give up and go away, so if you are in doubt, please ask.. If they get too large, myself or one of my moderators will let you know...
Animated signatures are fine to use, provided they aren't too large once more... You can add the odd little emoticon if you want to.. but please lets not get too carried away, after all it's the POST we are trying to read here.
I don't want to restrict you too much, but I also want everyone - particularly those on dial up - to be able to have as much fun as possible...
Finally, I hope you have a wonderful time here, feel free to jump in on any of the threads.. we welcome you to Sweet Obsessions, or SOB as it has affectionately become known. We are one big happy family. If you need help on anything, please ask, either myself, my admins or anyone really, we are all very happy to help..
